I've got the music in me ; I've got the music in me!

Hello!

Growing up; ages 10 - 18, I sang in the Young Adult Choir at SLPHC. We rehearsed; usually, once a week. We also had singing engagements, pretty near every weekend. I all but lived for it! I saw to it that household chores and homework was done:  in prime time! Nothing could come between me, and the choir!

Unknown to anyone at the time, I was writing songs and composing music! That; believe me, was a miracle! I had and still have no formal musical training! I did take a voice class my senior year at Catawba College, hardly enough to whet an appetite for music beyond high school! And yet, I resisted getting involved in any other singing group years and years and years on end! I still am, the truth to be told! It all has to be just right, 'ya know? It all has to come together under the hand of  The Almighty God, and probably pretty quickly too, least I change my mind! I kept everything in my head way back when, but I'm starting to write things down now. A recorder of some sort would be a good idea. I thought 'this music thing' was "just a passing fancy," but was I ever wrong! The dreams of a guitar and me standing on a stage just keep coming and coming, and more rapidly too! I do declare...

Partially written songs are daring me to complete them now a days! This has been going on all year! I'm not sure of what my next step will be, but I've a desire to:  1)  take formal voice lessons, and  2) learn to play the guitar. I fancy myself as a cross between Barbra Streisand and Whitney Houston! Can you imagine? I must be on 'a natural high' of "the glory of God!"

I have Jordan Smith to thank for all of this! [http://www.christianpost.com/buzzvine/jordan-smith-the-voice-mary-did-you-know-rendition-152915/] That young man showed us how to do it! He earned that trophy, there is no doubt about it! Moreover, he showed us that the time has come for the people of God to stand up and step out "for such a time as this!" I am so pleased for him! Who knows? Maybe he and I will meet on a stage somewhere, someway, somehow! Calm down; Angela, calm down!

God bless 'ya!

Happy Monday!

Merry Christmas!

Shalom!
